The FSW Libraries subscribe to thousands of ebooks: electronic copies of books stored online, also called online books. Patrons can download eBooks to a PC, Mac, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. An eBook has numbered pages, a table of contents, and pictures and graphics, just like a print book. Advantages of using eBooks include the ability to electronically search the entire contents of a book, and instantaneous access at any time and from any place. FSW students, faculty, and staff can access eBooks from the Libraries’ federated search engine, i.e., the search tool featured on the libraries’ homepage, as well as the FSW Libraries’ databases.

  1. From the Library’s homepage, enter keyword/s that reflect your topic of interest in the search box and click "search"
  2. Limit your search to electronic books from within the "Narrow your Results By" menu on the left
  3. Click the title of an eBook that interests you from the results list
  4. To access the eBook, click the "Click here to view this eBook. Access is restricted to valid borrowers." link at the top of the record
